Interior Design Industrial Loft Bathroom

Interior Designer Notes For This Project

At the client's request, we eliminated the Victorian bathroom design from the previous owner and updated the design to an industrial-style bathroom that matched the loft-style residence.  The existing white claw foot bathtub and black and white tile floor were removed, and the bathroom was gutted, leaving us raw space to work with.

Noah Powell, a concrete professional, was commissioned to create a double vanity sink and concrete-poured shower floor.  A custom open-style vanity with one shelf was designed and made from natural hickory with a rough cut and finish in a natural stain.  Open shelving on the side of the shower was also constructed of the same hickory wood.

  • Overhead vanity lighting is in an historic industrial nickel finish

  • Flooring is porcelain plank tiles in Stratos Anthracite

  • Mosaic tiles were used to create a ceiling listel border in the shower and again used to accent the three shower niches.

  • The shower door is a ½” thick glass enclosure with brushed nickel frame and handle.

  • Shower walls are Stratos Silver with Dove Gray Grout.

  • Plumbing fixtures are Kohler Vibrant Brushed Nickel with straight handle.
